Libby has been quarantined since Tuesday evening (got the call on the way home from therapy). She’s been in close contact with someone at school who tested positive – which is not a shocker to anyone. She needs lots of assistance, she holds hands, she needs touch and hugs and closeness. There is no such thing as social distance in her world. If somebody gets it, she’ll be sent home.
She’s coming off an awesome last few weeks of October. After we didn’t even get to full days until 10/12 and then she had a pretty rough start, she’s been getting more comfortable every day with her new school, new helpers, new schedule, and the new ways things just have to be done in 2020.
While it’s a tough pill to swallow to have her yanked back out of school just when she was finally setting in, I’ve been mentally preparing for it. And we have been IMMENSELY blessed with the absolutely gorgeous weather this week. Shorts and t-shirts and playing outside all week! We’re keeping a close watch on all of our temps and signs of symptoms, pounding the Super C and Ningxia, and so far we are feeling great.
One more week out of school and then we’re back on track!
(well, for a week… then it’s another week off for Thanksgiving
)
