It’s a DOUBLE
Christmas Miracle! ![]()
Today marks 7 months since we closed on our home and “officially” moved to Wisconsin. In many, many ways we have been richly blessed through these months and in this place. So know that this is coming from a place of overall gratitude and contentment.
We knew that moving to a new state, with a high-needs child, during a pandemic… would not come without challenges and hurdles. We spent our summer (and well into the fall) re-establishing care with a new medical and therapy team, setting up insurance and waiver supports, and getting everything lined up for the smoothest transition possible into a new school with new everything.
Two of the longest battles have been getting her specialty diapers and growth hormone medication approved by insurance and set up for delivery. Sooooo many pieces of paperwork and hours spent on the phone. Hundreds of missed doses of needed medication, hundreds of dollars out of pocket for needed supplies.
On Sunday we got our long-awaited FIRST Wisconsin delivery of diapers, and today our FIRST delivery in 7+ months of her injections. It’s a huge win, and a pretty epic Christmas gift. Another piece of the puzzle of feeling at home in our new home.
